Rare 1942 World War II Hummel figurine. Made by Herbert Dubler, Inc. during the war when Goebel was not producing Hummels. The Dubler hummel figurines are made of plaster and marked B. Hummel. This is one of two figurines I am listing that were made by Dubler and are in mint condition with the boxes they were packed away in for so many years. Google "The Dubler Figures" for more information. Also mentioned in Robert Millers book on Hummels. Check out my other Dubler Hummel. Also included with this figurine is an original brochure from the Ars Sacra House & Herbert Dubler, Inc. New York. Interstingly it lists the two Hummels I have listed. The Little Cobbler is No 36. These Dubler Hummels are truely rare and were made for only a few years. Advanced collectors may want to add an example to their collection. The two I have listed are probably the nicest you will find. Official wartime Hummels made in the USA. Measures 5 1/2 inches tall. Check out my other items ! More Goebel figurines. Shipping can be combined.
