This is a part of most popular Chinese Bouquet collection. The ornament of this item is in blue color (Apponyi bleu) on all white background. It features motif of a peony surrounded by leaves. Trinket has white background and gold band and outline. It is of most famous Herend shapes – the shoe. The origin of the pattern is associated with Count Albert Apponyi, for whom this simplified version of Fleurs des Indes was first prepared. Backside is marked with standard Herend blue mark used since 1949. Other marking is mold number 7570-0-00/AB, letters JF and number 2145 printed in blue on the backside as well as incised 7570, 7, 26 and ‘Herend’. Trinket measures about 4” x 2” and stands 2” tall. Condition is immaculate with no cracks or chips found. Colors are bright and vibrant. Gold has no wear. Backside is rough for better hear protection.
