(1" = 25 mm) Weight: 390.00 Carats (78.00 Grams) (Lot of 200 Crystals) THIS SPECIMENS LOT This is a beautiful and rare Lot of 200 Herkimer Diamond Quartz Crystals of quality A+ to B Grade, good size and clarity some with beautiful Anthraxolite inclusions, in general well formatted crystals, you will find everything inside the lot. Always the lot you will receive is the one pictured. Note : In between the set of photos of the Lot we have added 2 photos of individual pieces alone in order to let see clearness, inclusions, shape form. The pieces have been chosen aleatorily from the lot. GEMSTONE: Herkimers Diamonds are a rare form of quartz, the only quartz crystals to form with eighteen facets and both terminations. They are known worldwide as many of them have a brilliant clarity not found elsew, this makes them highly prized by collectors, many of whom feel their collection is not complete without a few of these amazing gems. These crystal were mined in Neuquen. Many collectors believe the Herkimer Diamond should rival a true diamond. Their reasoning for this is a true diamond found in the "rough" is exactly that, a rough appearing glass-like stone. The diamond must be painstakingly cut by man to give it smooth faces and a geometrical shape.
