CONDITION REPORT:
This auction is for an Original Herman Miller "LABELED" Eames Sofa Compact, in Dark Blue Indigo Patterned Fabric (featuring cross threads of Orange, Yellow, etc, and Original 1960's Herman Miller Fabric). Sofa is in EXCELLENT Vintage Structural & Physical Condition. On a scale of 1 to 10; 10 being highest, this Sofa is a solid 9.5. T are no rips, pulls, stains, etc, and the fabric is still 100% tightly pulled over the soft foam, with no creasing at all. Only very very very very minimal surface cosmetic wear to outer edges although, I'll confidently say, that you CANNOT find it. Obvious tiny faint surface scratching can be seen on frame (upon inspection with a magnifying glass). This cannot be seen in any photos, nor is it visible from the seated position, as this is hidden in shadows by the sofa seat. T is no noticable damage of any kind present on this sofa. You couldn't ask for a better "Mint-Condition-Vintage-Item" in the 2nd-hand realm. You will be incredibly happy with this purchase, at any price.

* Glides are adjustable made of stainless steel with rubber base.

Knowing this makes the name "compact" seem less curious for a sofa that's over 6 feet long and provides such comfortable support from shoulders to knees.

With a grand sense of adventure, Charles and Ray Eames turned their curiosity and boundless enthusiasm into creations that established them as a truly great husband-and-wife design team. Their unique synergy led to a whole new look in furniture. Lean and modern. Playful and functional. Sleek, sophisticated, and beautifully simple. That was and is the "Eames look."

The light-scaled Eames sofa compact gives all the comfort usually associated with long, low, heavy sofas. Two horizontal foam pads form the sofa's comfortably high back. A black enameled steel frame and chrome-plated tubular steel legs provide the foundation. It fits well w bulkier, traditional sofas don't and is perfectly scaled for tight spaces in executive suites, lounges and homes. The sofa has been in continuous production by Herman Miller since 1954.
