We are proud to be able to bring to you this Icon of mid century modern furniture by Herman Miller, designed by Charles and Ray Eames. This piece is the perfect center piece for any living rood set and is ow enough for seating (most likely the little ones) This table has very long and low lines and has minimal impact visually when used, note this is not suited for smaller rooms as it is 89" Long. Charles and Ray Eames considered many shapes for this large table introduced in 1951, but their final choice was elliptical. It reminds some of a surfboard, and its long shape fits perfectly in front of a wide couch.With its long, low profile, the Eames elliptical table sits dramatically in front of a long sofa or in the middle of a chair grouping. It sets a striking stage for displaying mid-century fat lava vases, fresh flowers, magazines, or a special book in a living room, waiting room, reception area, or executive lounge. Finished in either black or white laminate, the table makes a strong and beautiful statement wver it is.The elliptical table's 89 inches of surface length provide an expansive arc that lets you spread out or display items--a lot or a few. The tabletop consists of a seven-ply Baltic birch core sandwiched between high-pressure white laminate. The edge is beveled on a 20-degree angle to give the top added emphasis. The wire-rod base design is a signature Eames look. Rods are zinc plateThe table is made very well and is not one of the knock off versions the have been out recently. This is used piece and does show very light signs of age and wear if any. Please ask any questions prior to making an offer. this piece does show signs of usage on the top in the form of light scratches as we tried to note inn t ho photos as well as a few nicks.
