Hello, I am auctioning some "Kingsbury" history. My children are not interested in this piece of family history so I am offering it to others who might appreciate it. First t is the leather bound edition of "The Hero of Medfield" containing the Journals and Letters of Allan Alonzo Kingsbury of Medfield (Massachusetts) Member of Co H Chelsea Volunteers Mass 1st Reg. who was killed by the Rebels near Yorktown, April 26, 1862. Book has 144 very interesting pages. Published by John M Hewes, Printer, 81, Cornhill 1862 Book is 7 1/4 x 5 1/2. The binding is tight with no loose pages, but some staining is evident on some pages, original tissue is still next to engraving in book. Some edge wear to corners of binding but in decent condition for age. The picture frame is Hardwood with blue matting, the engraving in frame is 9 1/2 x 7 1/4 with frame 19 1/2 x 13 1/2. Please feel free to ask any questions and thank you for viewing my auctions. Shipping would be cheaper without picture frame.
