For a long time, the comic figure Yosemite Sam had been the unofficialmascot of the unit which adorned the tail unit of this B-52H during the maneuver “Great Strike” in England in 1981. The airplane featuresthe standard camouflage livery of the B-52 fleet of the 1970s and 1980s and features the then used tail cannon (Herpa). The B-52 is part of the 319th Bomber Wing stationed out of Grand Forks Air Force Base, North Dakota. This 1/200 scale model of this plane is a new release from Herpa. The die-cast metal model is a limited edition release and is highly detailed, is true to scale and brand new in the box. Unfortunately Herpa does not make a display stand for this one. But it's still a great addition to any die-cast collection. Thanks for looking.
