3 Hexagon Poison Bottles w/ Labels - Barnes & CromptonFor auction are three hexagonal poison bottles. They measure approximately 4 3/8" in height and are cobolt blue in color. Three of the sides are smooth on these and three have rectangle boxes of vertical ribbing. All three have labels from R.G. Diss, M.P.S., Late Barnes & Crompton LTD of 1 Chapel Brow, Leyland (Tel 123). One is labeled for Ipecacuanha Wine, B.P. (Poison), one is Compound Liquorice Powder, and the other is Flowers of Sulphur. The labels are pretty nice for older bottles. T is some minor wear and dirtying, mainly w they wrap around the bottles' corners, but they show brilliantly and are highly legible. Also, on the middle flat side near the base of each bottle is an etched arrow pointing up - an oddity from what I've seen of poison bottles. T are no chips or cracks that I find and they are all in very nice condition. An interesting group of bottles that would be nice addition to a collection.
