WOLLNER of Vienna, Austria - BOXED MARCHING BOSNIANS IN FEZZES - (ca.1910) - (measure 30mm base to top of fez) - (13 demi-round solid-cast lead figures) - (original box, wrapping, and straw packing) - A very rare little set from Wollner out of Vienna, Austria. A great addition to any collection reflecting the beginning of the Great War. Of course, Bosnia and Serbia being the hotbed for the beginning of the terrible conflict. The figures are in superb condition. The box was also in pristine condition when I purchased the set. Unfotunately the original seller did not understand its worth, and taped the side-panels for delivery: Toy soldier nightmare. The side panel actually reads: "Bosniki" with a set number. Perhaps you will be able to remove the tape and salvage the side-panel. I have never seen this set, and I'm not sure if it is shown in the new book on Wollners recently released, but quite happy to see it rediscovered for our hobby.
