Offered for auction is a Heywood Wakefield kneehole desk. It is model number M320. It was the fourth variation of Count Sakhnoffsky's original design. Produced from 1950-1965. This one is dated 1956. Some of the best Heywood pieces were the desks and since not everyone had an office or den in their home, these are harder to find. One of Heywood's most successful items was this style of desk. It is extremely functional as the entire piece consists of drawers. It features a full width top drawer with 2 dividers, 2 drawers on the left and 3 drawers on the right. The bottom left drawer is deep file drawer with divider. It also has a finished back so that it can sit out in the middle of the room. This one sits on the encore feet. Condition is very good. Original champagne finish is very nice. No major structural issues. Few minor dings consistent with age. Dimensions: 50" L x 24" D x 30" H Weight: 140 lbs.
