"Nancy Drew Mystery Stories: The Hidden Staircase ". Carolyn Keene. Grosset & Dunlap. New York. 206 pages. Hardbound with publisher's original jacket. End papers i llustrated with o range silhouettes . 1945B-47 . All issue points per Farah's Guide. Dark b lue covers with orange titling and silhouette in the center of the front cover as well as orange titles on spine. Frontispiece illustration[See photograph #4]. Publisher's red dye on top text block. The book is in Very Good(+) or better condition. Some creasing and rounding to crown and heel of spine with extremely light wear to same and almost none to tips of board corners, none of which appears bumped. Light wrinkling of spine, which appears to be quite common on Grosset editions. Text block is clean of stains with less than normal toning. Boards show no rubbing or wear. Interior is bright and clean with no discernible stains, writing, or marks to end papers or text other than name and address of a former owner on front paste-down. Lighter than usual toning to wartime paper. Square and tightly bound. Very nice copy. The original dust jacket is in Very Good condition. Extremely light chipping and creasing to the crown and heel of jacket spine and one crease to base and one to top of back panel. One small[3/8"] closed tear near crown of back panel. Very light soiling to back panel.
