Caliper reads the length at 5&3/8", height is 2&9/16" on the front groove ridge; maximum thickness measured t s well is 2&1/16". The Axe is Mid-Archaic three-quarter groove, an excellent patinated out grade of granite. The piece was found on the Wabash River, somew below Vincennes, Indiana. I was not given the exact county. At one time the Axe had an identification tag, but it was lost before I acquired the piece. With patina like this t is only one phrase that fits--no-brainer. The last photo should show what is the only damage to the piece, a scuff to the bottom of the front groove ridge, and a scrape (not a nick, even) on the bottom edge of the bit. One thing to mention on the bit is the absolutely great condition & polish, VERY fine authentic work. the heel is a short form, extends only some 1/2"--5/8" past the back groove ridge. The top edge of the Axe is flattened to place wedges, tighten the bindings. shipping is $7.50 for any shipping destination through postal zone five. If you're in a closer destination to southern Indiana I'll be more than glad to follow postal zone charges if they're lower--no one likes paying more for shipping than is necessary. Personal checks or money orders are the two accepted (and welcomed) payment forms--Roy A.
