High quality Tenor / Concert / S oprano Ukulele kits. These kits are made by hand from only the finest hardwoods and are supplied with all of the required parts to create your own top quality instrument. The backs, sides and neck are all Brazilian Mahogany and you have a choice of Brazilian Mahogany or Cedar for the top. The top, sides and back are machined to a thickness of 3mm and marked to enable accurate positioning of the struts and tone bars. The neck is ready for final shaping.Fretboards (not shown in pictures) can be provided in Indian Rosewood, Macassar Ebony, Asian Ebony or Kingwood. They are ready slotted for frets; an adequate length of fret wire is included along with the appropriate number of PAU inlays. Pictures 8 and 9 show the template for the scale which is 17" in the case of a tenor instrument.The bridge and nut are made from bone. Tuners, strings, bushes and pegs are also provided. The holes for the tuners are not drilled to allow you to affix your own preferred tuners if appropriate. The bridge has been pilot drilled at 4mm to enable you to drill through the body in the final stages but will need to be reamed to accept the pegs.In order to allow you to make a jig to form the sides, I provide a paper jig template.The cost of the kit is £85 plus delivery to UK customers.
