Doll is over fifteen inches from base to topknot. The incredibly beautiful face is painted on cloth over a frame, which seems to be wooden. She has a soft neck not meant to be repositioned: both the face and neck are classic features of quality Geisha collectible dolls. The kimono is fully-lined with red cloth, showing through at visually-striking points. The outside is black with gold threading and flower detailing. A long strand of delicate cut cloth flowers are strung between beads, and lays gently across the courtesan's frame.Petite and lovely white hands, feet, and face balance out her figure in thirds. I have noticed a few in the purple fabric only; they are easily trimmed without aesthetic damage to the doll. The Kimono itself does not fray and is made with high quality jacquard or silk, I believe. The flowers, greens, and golds are professionally stitched on.Please note that there is some age-derived wear to the black lacquer base; it may be re-finished read more
