Highly Embossed, Colorless Hires Household Extract Medicine Bottle. CIRCA: 1930-1939 bottle with embossing on 5 sides as follows: "Hires Household Extract" "For Home Use" "Manufactured by the Charles E. Hires Co." " Philadelphia, PA. U.S.A." & a "10" on its base. The "10" signifies Owens-Illinois Plant number 10 in Newark, Ohio. In Very Good Condition since it has two barely noticeable flashes across three exterior panels. (You have to put the bottle up to a light to see a flash) This medicine bottle also has an unnoticeable ping on the underside of its applied double collar lip. The ping is a result of being dug from the banks of the Colorado River. Dimensions: 4.5" X 1.5" X 1.5." Weight: 4.2 oz. This glass medicine bottle was discovered in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, near Aspen. Great glass collectible ... especially for a medical professional!
