Hilson "Unicorn" Danish Style, Classy Looking

's an attractive Hilson Unicorn, with acrylic yellow fitment and military style stem. The bowl shows nice ring-grain from the sandblast finish and has a couple fills, but looks very good. The bowl is in fine condition and is lightly smoked, draw hole bottom center. The stem shows some teeth indents, which I partially buffed out, but stem is in good usable condition. I saw a 1977 tinderbox catalog with the Unicorn going for $27.50 back then. Fully restored, draws easy and is ready to smoke.

Hilson initially belonged to the Messers Hillen factory, established in 1846 in Bree, Belgium. It was bought in 1980 by the Royal Dutch Pipe Factory.
