Comparative study by Hiroshi Yoshida, two prints entitled "Morning Mist at Taj Mahal" no.5 and "Night at Taj Mahal" no.6, each with jizuri. Both images have rich color and fine impression. Yoshida used the same series of blocks to make both prints by inking them differently to reflect changes in light and color. The contrast between the two images is subtle, but the detail enchanting... in "Morning Mist" the robes are in gentle pastels and the Taj Mahal is softly illuminated by the morning light as the sun rises... in "Night" the colors of the robes are neutral and the glow of a lamp appears inside the Taj Mahal as the sun's light fades. The comparison is both fascinating and pleasing to the eye. The prints are in excellent condition, with minor toning on the outer edges of the margins. Paper size: 16" x 24.5" Image size: 14.25" x 20.25" Guaranteed Original.
