Hiroshige (Japanese 1797-1858), colorful woodblock print of the Tokaido (the great road from Yedo to Kyoto), signed, 8.5" x 13.25". This is from the series "One Hundred Views of Edo.
Condition Report: mounted on card stock at two side corners; unframed; various Japanese signatures and stamps; overall very good condition. Has never been framed. This is a very good inking as seen from the back side. I don't see any staining or foxing. I have included pictures of all the stamps for the real experts among you. The publisher stamp should help with the dating. This was purchased at an estate auction. It was one in a portfolio marked Japanese Woodblocks, Tokyo, Watanabe.
