Thick, saturated color.Here we have a nice vintage framed Japanese woodblock print after Hiroshige's "Sudden Rain At Shono" from his "53 Stations of the Tokaido" series, published by Uchida. This is one of Hiroshige's best known, and most popular images.Mounted in a simple gold toned metal frame, it is in excellent, ready to hang, condition. The print is visibly pristine, but has not been removed from the frame for further inspection. It has beautiful, deep color, and tight registration. No fading, foxing, or toning evident.
