For auction is a lovely cobalt blue Liberty Blue Large Staffordshire Vegetable or Casserole Bowl . It measures 4 3/4" tall with the lid on. It is 2 1/4" high without the lid. The diameter is 9 1/4" to the outside rim. The Boston Tea Party Historical design covers the lid. The base of the bowl has the same clipper ship design on both sides. The base has a blue stamp that says, Liberty Blue. The Eagle, in the middle of the blue stamp, holds a sign that says Original Copper engravings of the Historic Colonial Scenes . Printed on Staffordshire Ironstone. Made in England. Boston Tea Party . A gold number is also stamped on the item 25. The lid is stamped with the number 20. This colorful blue white Ironstone casserole or vegetable bowl is part of the Liberty Blue dinnerware that has original copper engravings of Historical Colonial Scenes on Staffordshire Ironstone. The condition of the bowl is MINT. No chips, cracks or crazing. Never used. No utensil marks. Any imperfections found would be factory flaws. I am the original owner and have had this item stored for at least 33 years. It was purchased at a local grocery store when they were offering a choice of the Fair Winds pattern or the Liberty Blue pattern dishes. Please check my other auctions.
