HISTORICAL MINIATURE~770~CHABAD LUBAVITCH Mezuzah Cover Prev Stop Play Next RARE Historical Miniature 770 Chabad Lubavitch Mezuzah Cover This Special Edition handmade, handpainted collectible mezuzah cover was made by Historical Miniatures Inc. and is now hard, if not impossible, to find. A real piece of art, this is an outstanding replica of the Lubavitch Headquarters at 770 Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn , NY w the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson presided. "770” is the familiar name for the building at 770 Eastern Parkway, in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn, New York; the central world headquarters and synagogue of the worldwide Chabad-Lubavitch Chassidic movement, residence and office of the Sixth Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Schneersohn , from 1940 until his passing in 1950; home to Yeshiva Tomchei Temimim and office (and sometimes residence) of the Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson , from his arrival to the U.S. in 1941 until his passing in 1994. The Previous Rebbe said about 770 shortly after its purchase, "The One Above should allow it to be a permanent dwelling for the soul, for Torah study and for prayer services, but a temporary dwelling for living purposes. For very soon we should merit to be in the Holy Land with Moshiach." The well known red brick façade, impressive windows and magnificent stone architecture have been duplicated remarkably in this creation. Historical Miniatures Inc. and 770 are inscribed on the front. A gold ‘Shin’ graces the tip, a detail not set in the actual structure. T are three holes for screws and protective green felt on the back. This conversation piece is a tremendous tribute to the Schneerson dynasty and would be just as spectacular on a display shelf as it would on a front door. It is gently used in very good condition although t are some minor chips. None are terribly obvious without inspecting it intently. The top of the building has been chipped as well as a spot on the bottom which appear to have been repainted. Please see the pictures. Being that it has been handpainted, the paint differs in various areas. The outer measurements are 6” x 2”, the space for the mezuzah scroll is 5 1/8” x 7/8”. hand made, hand painted  We try to offer a complete and honest description of every item but occasionally may miss something.
