A retrospective of Big Red that traces the seeds of the area’s earliest growth as a thriving center of commerce and industry back to their very source. The region’s history is uniquely bound up with this unpredictable, colorful waterway, so this book has attempted to take and in-depth look into the Red River. Rich history of Indians and Civil War activities. Hardcover with dust jacket 87 pages. Dust jacket is damaged along front spine edge(please see picture) and wear to dust jacket. Inside clean and undamaged. IMPORTANT TO READ BINDING CONTRACT Since many of the items I put up for sale are vintage, or antique pieces, they will have the normal wear, smells, and imperfections common to older items. Therefore, they are always sold "AS IS." Of course, any excessive wear or serious damage will be mentioned in the item description or obvious in pictures. All items are from smoke free environment unless otherwise stated. Please consider that most items have been purchased on the second hand market and I cannot guarantee no smells or exposure to allergens. Please remember that you're the expert when it comes to your favorite collectible. There are probably things that I didn't know to include in the item description that could be helpful to you in making an accurate appraisal, so if you have any questions about the item, please e-mail me preferably before the last day of auction. If this is a LOT offering, you are not required to take all items and shipping will be adjusted for just the items you want. Purchases made in the same week may be COMBINED for SHIPPING savings if possible. If you have special requests for packaging or very particular about specifics, please let me know. I always try to package for the best cost and the best protection for your item. My items cannot be prepackaged because of questions from prospective buyers, requests for additional pictures, choice of shipping methods which require different packaging, cost of packing supplies, no storage space for packaged items, and the fact that less than 10% of items listed actually sell. If there is an overage in postage charged it will be refunded. This is a small one person operation done as a way to pay for necessities not a for profit business. I do not do enough business to qualify for any commerical discounts or bulk pricing so I have to charge what items cost me. The buyer always has the option to purchase items from a different seller who may be able to offer better pricing.I will no longer be able to offer first class letter(only parcel) shipping in the USA or international. These services are not available on Ebay's label printing service and not protected through the claims process. There is no delivery confirmation or insurance available on these services and most times the shipping is much more than the price I receive for my item so the liability to me is too great since I am required to refund purchase price plus shipping charges in case of loss or damage. Due to the buyer protection requirements, insurance and delivery confirmation is placed on all shipments and part of these charges are included in the handling charge. Additional charges for signature confirmation over $100 may be added to invoice after bid price has been determined. Please be sure to include these costs when deciding on how much you want to bid. Payment is DUE within 5 days of auction close or I reserve the right to cancel sale or any terms of sale, relist item, and report to Ebay. All sales final. The bidder is responsible for reading the entire auction listing(this includes Q and A since once there is a bid I cannot always revise listing) and understanding it's contents including pictures.
