A Popular History of England - from the earliest times to the accession of Victoria by Francois Pierre Guillaume Guizot, L.L.D. Translated by M.M. Ripley. Fully illustrated with wood & steel plates from drawings by the most celebrated artists, among whom are A de Neuville, Sir John Gilbert, P. Leyendecker, G. Staal, & etc. 5 volume set published in 1881 by C. F. Jewett; Boston. All books are in good condition; not ex-library books. Sound bindings & hinges, paper spine labels intact, tissue frontis, only light wear to corners/edges of cover boards & top/bottom of spine. Nice illustrations with tissue pages. Books measure 7 1/2" by 10"; and the set will take up 11" of shelf space. This is a nice set of books in good shape. One book has a few spots on one side of the cover; not many, & not too bad. Buyers outside of the united States please ask about additional shipping fees before bidding!
