The History of Gil Blas of Santillana translated by Henri Van Lann ca1900 The History of Gil Blas of Santillana rendered into English by Henri Van Lann : revised and completed by Henry Roberts also an introductory notice life of Lesage and notes with etchings by Adolphe Lalanie. Complete in three volumes. Printed only for subscribers by George Barrie, Philadelphia - no date given but looks to be ca1900. Limited Edition : of this edition printed on Japanese Vellum Paper, only one thousand complete copies are printed : this is no. 698. The pages are in good condition and the bindings are firm. Black cloth covers with pasted labels on the spines are mostly in good condition with some light scuffing.
