ULTRA RARE! No Reserve! The complete set of FIRST EDITION three volumes ( Vol I, Vol II, Vol III ) "History of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity" by the renowned SAE William C. Levere published 1911. Blue cloth with with gilt accents on leather, 488, 490, 520 pages. Has the signature of a "Broadus Thompson" on front page. This is the definitive history of SAE. Can't tell you how rare these volumes are. Covers are in Nazarene blue cloth and leather. This is the 1 st edition and not the subsequent editions that were slightly smaller and had different covers (I have included a picture of what the more common, but still very rare, 2nd editions notice color contrast for comparision purposes). Vol. 1 and Vol 2 are in fair condition because the leather parts are wearing out due to age (otherwise they would be in very good condition). Vol. 3's leather spine is missing, but the binding is still intact and the book can still be opened and read without falling apart . As mentioned previously, if it weren't for the leather parts these books would be in very good condition. While the exterior looks out of shape the interior is pristine and like new.
