Two Hitachi Deskstar 500GB SATA Hard Drives I ran these up using an external USB connection and they formatted fine. I coped some files to them, confirmed they copied correctly, then deleted them. I noticed no funny noises or anything unusual. Crystal disk info drive health shows one as "good" and one as "caution". This is the only testing I did.
