This auction is for (3) unused, full sheet Hitler Head Stamps from pre-liberation Germany. Individual stamps are often offered for sale, but seldom do you find full sheets. Several dealers offer 4 of these for $5 - $7. These were a gift from my uncle who served in Germany during WW II. They have been kept in a stamp portfolio between waxed pages. They have never been exposed to light so the colors are even and vivid. Each of the 3 sheets offered in this auction has (100) stamps each. Each sheet will be described independently. 1-Full sheet, 100 stamps, 6 PF, light purple in color, profile faces right, about 50% of the gum has crystalized with age. All margins are clean and the serial number 8614 is clear. 2-Full sheet, 100 stamps, 12 PF, light red in color, same profile as the auction photo facing right, 75% of gum in place, one small tear in upper right margin that goes over to the outside perforation but does not pierce the stamp. Left margin has serial # 83155, 3-Full sheet, 100 stamps, 15 PF, rusty color, right facing profile, clean and complete margins, serial # 31989 In this No Reserve auction, t will be a low starting price.
