You are bidding a very nice example of a vintage HL Leonard bamboo fly rod. This 7 1/2', three piece, two tip, outfit comes with a cloth bag and a metal tube. I have been told by a Leonard rod expert that this is a pre fire model 36 Catskill rod. The rod is marked on the nickel silver seat cap: The Leonard Rod, HL Leonard Rod Co. The first eyelet is made of a beautiful white agate, and the remaining guides are made of wire. This fly rod is in VG condition with all eyelets wrapped tightly and all sections straight. The rod tip sections come in two different sizes; the first three sections measure 30 1/2", and the second tip section measures 28 1/2". The cloth bag has an attached cloth tag that reads: HL Leonard Catskill Fly. The metal has a paper tag that reads: Dennison Mfg. Co., USA, William Mills & Son Inc., New York. It is also dated 1925.
