Special for Shutt***** 3 sets Cup and SaucerTHREE RARE and Beautiful Homer Laughlin Eggshell Georgian "Pink" Demitasse Cup and Saucer Sets. Cup is 2 1/8" high and the Saucer is 4 7/8 inches in diameter.Circa 1941 and very hard to find in this excellent condition!The Eggshell Georgian Shapes were sold throughout the 40's and 50's at Sears, Montgomery Wards and other big name departments stores.With European China scarce during and right after the war, Homer Laughlin and other US Potteries took full advantage and HLC introduced the Eggshell lines. At the time - the market potential seemed unlimited. However, eventually - starting in the early to mid 50's - the rest of the world economies recovered from the ravages of war, and imported china flooded the US markets starting the slow decline of the American China industry.Condition: Excellent Vintage used! Near Mint!
