This stunning Victorian sovereign case measures 30mm (1.25") across x 15mm (.5") and weighs 17 grams. It is fully hallmarked for solid English Sterling Silver Birmingham 1895 with the makers mark for Rolason Brothers. It is beautifully engraved to the the outside with a stylised leaf design typical of the late Victorian period with a central cartouche with the contemporary engraving " J.W.D Eaton House Aldeburgh Oct 26 1893 ". It is in excellent order snapping shut and springing open as it should and the coin holder spring is still strong, no damage or repairs and the engraving is still sharp. A wonderful example of a late Victorian silver sovereign case. International buyers are always welcome to this NO RESERVE auction. F.M.O.C.
