HMCS Charlottetown (3rd): 12"x16" matted and grey framed print, signed by the artist. HMCS Charlottetown (3rd) - Halifax Class Canadian Patrol Frigate; Builder: Saint John Shipbuilding Ltd., NB; Commissioned: 9 Sept. 1995. A series of fine art prints reproduced from original oil and watercolor paintings done between 1978 to the present. The paintings were reproduced on film and then by means of advanced four-color separation techniques the prints were created. Canada 's Navy prints are of an unlimited print run size and are signed by the artist. About the Artist: Artist Pat Burstall lives on the rugged east coast of Canada in the historic port city of Halifax , Nova Scotia . Her work ranges from marine depictions to landscapes to the military-related art that is so much part of the local heritage. Pat Burstall has painted almost exclusively in watercolor since 1985. Watercolor is a luminous and subtle medium. Thus the remarkable quality of these ship paintings. They are rendered with grace. Their clear lines, detailed forms, and soft lights are a tribute to the men and women who served on the ships. Ms. Burstall's work is in many private and public collections. In 1989 the Maritime Command Museum appointed Ms. Burstall as Artist-in-Residence, a position she still holds. In February 2005, Ms. Burstall was honoured by an invitation
