HMS BOUNTY wooden model kit vtg Scientific Royal Navy merchant ship Bligh This is a previously-owned (un-modeled) wooden H.M.S. BOUNTY model kit, manufactured by the Scientific Models Collectors Series in the 1970s. Of note, although the kit itself is in great condition and seems to include all pieces, the box shows some wear-and-tear and has an old price written on it. The 13-inch model features a carved wood hull and includes cast metal fittings. The HMS Bounty was a small merchant vessel purchased by the Royal Navy for a botanical mission. The ship was sent to the Pacific Ocean to acquire breadfruit plants and transport them to British possessions in the West Indies. That mission was never completed, as disagreements between Lieutenant William Bligh and his acting Sailing Master, Fletcher Christian, led to a revolt by half of the crew and their seizure of the vessel in1789, leading to the Mutiny on the Bounty. My Policies: We offer several different shipping options and accept Paypal (and we do indeed combine shipping).
