Cover No.NFDC3-06 in OUR "OFFICIAL" NAVAL FIRST DAY COVER SERIES.

This issue Commemorates the Damage to TYPE 42 Destroyer HMS GLASGOW during an Air Attack by the Argentine Air Force off Port Stanley on 12/5/1982 in the Falklands Conflict .

The Cover features Two Photos, one a close-up showing the area of the Damage, clearly visable when she returned to Portsmouth after the Conflict. The Bomb miraculously went straight through the Ship with no casualties.

The Stamps are the Label issued for 50th Anniversary of the Berlin Airlift and cancelled with Our Own Sponsored Special Handstamp.

The Cover is signed by Rear Admiral P.Hoddinott, CB OBE, who in the rank of Captain was Commanding Officer at the time.

Only 150 of these "Official" First Day Covers were Produced.
