Up for auction is an HO Athearn Chassis / Front Range Shell with a Proto 2000 drive. This locomotive is one of a set of five Mid South short line locos. Look at our other auctions to see the other four locos in this set. I built this set of locos to act as a short line for my Santa Fe railroad. The Mid South intersected the Santa Fe railroad at the Mississippi river and was eventually bought up by Santa Fe. This loco is highly detailed and modified, custom painted and decalled by me. The excellent extreme weathering was done by my wife, Angela. The two of us constitute Bishop Locomotive Works. If you are looking for a great set of locomotives to power your short line railroad, this would be that set. This locomotive has been test run and seems to run fine . The only reason we are selling this set is because we have sold our Wichita Valley RR (Santa Fe) layout. Although some of these units have never been run we still consider them used and sold as is.
