SUNSET MODELS BRASS HO Southern Pacific Cab Forward 4-8-8-2 Great detail in this model train. Tested when I bought it, but it has spent it's time with me in a display case. I always thought it was too special and pretty to run, hence, display. There is magnificent detail in the fine brass piping on the side of this engine, as well as a detailed cab interior. I am very proud of this model, and it has been the showpiece of my display case, but I am now downsizing. It lives now in it's orignal box with original foam. There is a very small amount of tarnish on the tender (see last picture), but I would think it can be removed with a brass cleaner solution. Buyer adds 14.99 for shipping. Check out my other items ! The cab forwards were necessary as the crews would be asphyxiated in the long snow shed tunnels over the mountains. The Cab Forward design proved itself on service on the “Hill” – the heavily graded line between Roseville California and Sparks Nevada.
