The 35 H class engines outshopped by Baldwin in 1929 for the Chicago & North Western were huge & handsome indeed. In fact, with her rebuilt visage as an H-1 in 1946-49 which included an offset bell & huge Mars light she might have competed for best looking of all Northerns. In addition, the dual service 4-8-4s, nicknamed "Zeppelins" were the largest ones built at thay time & it was 20 years of further development before they were unseated, & even then remained high on the list of all 4-8-4s. Our model here, by elite builder Samhongsa for Challenger Imports is probably the finest iteration of this locomotive ever done that I am aware of. It is very well detailed with operating headlight, reverse & Mars light, sanding lines, brake gear, detailed backhead, tender truck chains, etc. This model & box are as new.
