HO Brass Erie Lackawanna/Conrail EMD SDP45 #3635-3653. One of Only 35 Produced by Ajin Precision of Korea 1990 for Overland Models,Inc. OMI #5781. NEW IN ORIGINAL BOX. NO RESERVE AUCTION. This MINT example from OMI has been stored in its original box sincepurchased new. The prototype was ordered by the Erie-Lackawanna with the extended frame of the SDP-45 in order to accommodate the large fuel capacity of those locomotives. The diesels were pressed into non-stop service between New York and Chicago. The absence of the steam generator is an indicator of the E-L Version. The entire fleet was in service when E-L was absorbed into Conrail. Several ended up on the Southern Pacific after a Morrison-Knudsen rebuild. The model test runs like new (which for all practical purposes, it is!) There IS NO DCC plug on this model. The original box is provided with all original contents. There is no indication of any previous use. No tarnish is detectable. All soldering is strong, straight and clean. Attention Erie-Lackawanna Fans...
