HO Brass Pacific Electric "Niles" #1300 Wood Combine. Produced by Takada of Japan in 1970 for Suydam. Item #1300 Southern California's Pacific Electric was once the largest electric interurban system in the world. Its vast and varied fleet of equipment included this handsome arch-windowed wood combine built by Niles Car Co. in 1909. It served the PE's Inland Empire around Riverside and San Bernardino until 1941. The model is in excellent condition, with only a very mild, even patina of tarnish. There is no indication on the wheels that the model has been more than test run. It does run smoothly in both directions, powered by a floor-mounted open-frame motor, connected to a single truck by a spring-drive universal. The drive components are all intact with no split gears. The original box and all original packing is provided, including original decals and data sheet with destination sign. This is a clean example of a small-production run traction item that rarely becomes available. Don't miss out on this opportunity to add this model to your pre-war PE roster! I ship World-Wide. All shipments made within the “Lower 48” states are shipped via USPS Priority Mail. I charge $10 for this item. If I ship beyond the continental USA I will adjust shipping costs accordingly. I will be happy to quote estimated shipping cost for international
