HO Brass PRR 2-10-0 Class I-1, Sunset, 16-whl Tender, OB This is the HO Brass model of the Pennsylvania Railroad’s Class I-1 2-10-0 produced in Korea (Samhongsa?) and imported by Sunset Models as part of their Prestige Series. Finish is factory-painted bright brass with a clear topcoat. The model is well detailed with piping, marker boards on the headlight, brake shoes, cab riveting, and detailed backhead. The coal tender is the Pennsy’s long-haul 16-wheel design with its signature double-window enclosed doghouse. The loco has a can motor, and there is a coupler on the tender. There is no lead weight for inside the boiler. There are no other dings, dents, or missing parts. The loco has been run, but shows a small amount of marking on the drivers. The locomotive motor runs fairly smooth and quiet, even at slow speeds. However, given its age and lack of use, lube and run-in time is recommended. The loco has one small spot of tarnish on the cab roof. The tender has some significant spotting (see photo). This tarnish is the under-the-clear-topcoat kind, and not the fingerprint-caused. There is a small amount of shelf dust. Condition of the loco is Like New; The tender is Excellent-. Middle and bottom Original Foam is present and not deteriorating. There is no top foam sheet. There is NO yellow-foam-disease on the loco or tender. Original read more
