HO Central Vermont M-3a 2-8-0 brass locomotive Elesco Feed System, cut down "clear vision" tender, custom painted road #450. Engine is in very good to excellent condition, paint is extremely good, one small chip over left cab window, easily touched up. Light weathering. Coal load installed, engine crew, with fireman's tools in cab. Head and tender light lenses installed. Engine runs well, has been displayed only by me, and will need lubrication for improved performance. There is no window glazing. Box is in very good condition, foam insert is good, foam top has been replaced. The Central Vermont received M-3a #450 from Alco in 1916. One of 6, equipped with an Elesco Feedwater heater, while some of her sisters came with Coffin heaters. With the arrival of the N-5s in 1923 the M class were assigned local freight and work train service. 450 was a regular visitor on the South End, Brattleboro to New London. She had her tender cut down in the early 50s to facilitate work train and switching/local freight duty. She remained in service until the end of steam on the road. Paypal preferred. Ships USPS Priority Mail to US, First Class International to Canada within 1 business day of payment confirmation. I charge only postage. Insurance available at buyers request. Engine is from my collection. Thanks.
