I am marking this engine as used and by looking at the original box you might think so. But when you pull the sleeve out of the box and see this engine, you won't believe your eyes! I don't think this engine has ever been on the track. If it has, its wasn't run much by its appearance. It is in exceptional condition and looks like brand new! Great detailing for an engine of this era as well. PEMCO (Precision Engineered Models Co.) was only around for a few years in the early 70s. They were suppose to be a little "step up" from some of the regular brands. This is a very nice piece. I test ran it on about 3 feet of track and it did fine going back and forth but I would highly recommend an oil/lube job as I would on any engine that has been in long term storage, new or used. If you like these engines, you won't be disappointed in this one, it truly is that nice! Selling only because I have decided to run N gauge instead of HO. Thanks for looking and
