Unknown maker of this HO scale Santa Fe type Class L 2-10-2 steam locomotive. Lettered for the New Haven RR. The New Haven did have these engines and the road number 3217 is a correct number. Nice detail. The tag inside the tender and the cab says built by Superior Models, Redwood City, Ca. I couldn't get it to run. It has some unusual power hookup with 2 wires coming from the loco to the tender. It looks like there might have been plugs on the ends of the wires that plugged into the tender. The tender trucks are missing 1 set of wheels and they are bent. I would replace them. This is an unusual engine and someone who likes to tinker with engines will probably get it running. The overall condition of the engine itself is very good. Check out my other HO items.
