A very nice HO scale model by Tyco of Chattanooga #4073, a 2-8-0 'Consolidation'type steam locomotive with tender drive. The model looks very nice: colors and lettering are sharp and clear, nothing broken or missing that I can see. Bench tested, the locomotive ran very nicely, headlight works fine. The locomotive will be well-packed for shipping in its original box - have fun bidding and I have several items posted this week. If a bidder wins two or more, s/he will certainly benefit from savings on combined shipping, as is true of all my auctions. In a combined deal, we begin with the item with the highest quoted shipping and handling fee: light items (such as freight cars, or hardbound books going at Media rate) add a buck each; heavier items (e.g., locomotives) add two bucks each; and absurdly heavy items add more on a case-by-case basis: consolidated shipping will certainly save money in any case for multiple purchases... Note: At auction's end, the winning bidder should contact me if s/he has specific preferences as to shipping address, method or payment. If s/he lives near enough to my neck of the woods in mid-Michigan to make in-person pickup a practical notion, thereby putting the kibosh to shipping and handling charges altogether, then what's not to like?
