However, the term "hobo nickel" is generic, as carvings have been made from many different denominations.Due to its low cost and portability, this medium was particularly popular among hobos , hence the nameThis is a 1937 carved hobo nickel.This cute little rabbit was inspired by two wild baby bunny orphans we are currently rehabbing! Growing like little weeds! We have a friend who is a friar, who loves his bunnies, so this is where the idea came from! We call it "Blessed Are The Meek"!!Take a look!
