Insurance is optional; however, we strongly recommend that insurance be in place. We take great care in packaging items prior to shipping, but we will not be responsible for damage in shipment. Presented for your consideration and bidding is a HOCKING GREEN VASELINE GLASS PRINCESS SALT SHAKER PAIR Hocking Glass Co. spice shakers, original lids, 1931-35 This pair of beautiful green Vaseline glass spice/salt and pepper shakers was made by Hocking Glass Co. from 1931-35. (during the Depression era) Although these taller Princess shakers are actually spice shakers, they work beautifully for salt and pepper. Each shaker is 6" tall (with lid), by 3" at widest point. Unpackaged weight is 13.8 oz. No. 1 mark on bottoms. Shakers consist of four large and four narrow panels. Each large panel has a floral design consisting of three flowers emerging from a leafy base, and each narrow panel has what appear to be leaves beginning at the base and emerging from a single flower. This pair of shakers is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or flakes, and very slight roughness on seam lines at corners of one shaker which can only be felt, not seen; probably from over 60 years of use! Lids are original with slight denting. Shakers are a beautiful green color that fluoresce a more intense green under a black light. These shakers would enhance a Vaseline glass and/or a Depression glass collection. They would also look beautiful on your table!
