This auction is for an OLD COLONY PINK "LACE EDGE" or " OPEN LACE" COVERED COOKIE JAR . This pattern was made by Hocking Glass Company between 1935-1938 . The cookie jar is 5" tall and 6.5" across its widest part, and the lid is 4.25" across and 2.25" tall . It can be very hard to find one of these in mint condition, because the lace edge is so easy to break, and cracks from one opening to the next are common. This cookie jar is MINT . T is no damage; no chips, cracks, flea bites or repairs . I have to believe that this was a display piece, and not actually used. This is just a beautiful cookie jar, and would make a beautiful addition to any d.g. collection, or a lovely display piece. It is offered with a reserve which is a fraction of its book value, which is $85-$100.00. Thanks for viewing my auction. I perfer PayPal, but also accept Money Orders and Personal Checks. Payment made by check of money order is expected to arrive WITHIN 10 DAYS OF END OF AUCTION. While every effort is made on my part to pack well, I can not be held responsible for items damaged or lost in transit, so while insurance is optional , it is also highly recommended for breakable items . (I have learned as a eBay buyer, that if I don't purchase insurance and the item arrives broken, I am just out of luck, so the small price of insurance is good protection read more
