Hohner 1896/20 E Marine Band Harmonica - 'A' Key HAND-MADE for BOB DYLAN !!! ~~ Dylan Played THIS HARMONICA at a 2001 Concert w/ Phil Lesh! ~~ In a Nutshell ... My husband, who is also a musician, (& was recently killed in a car accident), has been good friends with Bob Dylan's sound/lighting engineer for many years, and gave this Harmonica to me (& backstage passes!) for keepsakes after a 2001 Bob Dylan / Phil Lesh Concert!!! The Hohner 1896/20 E Marine Band Harmonica is internationally recognized, by even the most Famous players - for it's simple beauty and resonant tone. This is probably the most famous harmonica in the world. The pearwood body, solid brass plates and patented cover design produce a musical quality that, when first heard in 1896, brought the Marine Band immediate popularity. Diatonic harmonica reeds produce the notes of the scale to which they are tuned. For example, a diatonic harmonica tuned to the key of C would produce the natural notes of the C scale without sharps and flats. (Picture just the white keys on a piano, without the black keys.) Each harmonica hole has two reeds; one plays when breath is exhaled (blow) and the other when inhaled (draw). The individual reeds are each tuned to play a different note on the scale. Keys: G, Ab (G#), A, Bb, B, C, Db (C#), D, Eb, E, F, F#, High G, Low D, Low Eb, read more
