Hohner Arbor series Stratocaster in verygood condition. Olympic white aged to classic cream with a rosewood fretboard. Information on these guitars is scarce – I would be happy to hear from anyone who knows anything I don’t. I have owned half a dozen Squier strats – and this guitar has enough tell-tale characteristics to suggest to me this is an early 1980s guitar from one of the Korean factories that Fender licensed to make copies for them, following the success of the Japanese Fender operation. Hohner Strats from the later 1980s and 90s had different shaped headstocks – to satisfy the infamous lawsuit litigation. http://www.hohnerguitars.de.tl/Arbor-MX-SE-604.htm The neck is a slim C profile with a 9.5” radius rosewood fretboard. Medium jumbo frets (with hardly any wear) and a recent lemon oil-ing offer a fast playing experience with a comfortable action. The tuners are the basic Squier ‘diamond back’ design – found on many Korean guitars, and function smoothly. The full-thickness (45mm) body is in excellent condition for a guitar approaching 30 years old. No big dings or nasty scratches. Usual hairline paint crack at the neck joint - see pic 6.
