You are bidding on a beautiful set of 4 silver grill or viande dinner knives from an estate auction in Michigan in the Wallace Luxor Plate pattern called Hollywood that was first introduced in 1937. It is a lovely pierced motif with flower and urn. They measure 8 3/8th inches and are in very good condition free of plate wear, damage and monogram. The grill or viande design was introduced in 1929 and became popular in the 1940âe(tm)s and 1950âe(tm)s. It features an elongated handle on both the dinner fork and dinner knife. The tine and blade area is typically shorter making the pieces relatively overall the same size as the forks and knives in the dinner service but with a very different look. Many patterns were created in both the grill/viande and the dinner service. This lot has been hand polished so t are no more âeoesurprisesâe under the tarnish. {Be wary of tarnished silver, plate wear and damage can hide under tarnish} This lot is in as stated condition but if not satisfied with purchase due to description a refund of the bid can be made following a return of the item within a 10-day period.
