From the library of the great film director Billy Wilder, with a typed notecard in the original envelope signed by the great Hollywood agent Swifty Lazar to Mr. Wilder and his wife. The card reads: “Dear Audrey and Billy, This is a marvelous book about our life in Hollywood. We send you our love and every good wish for the New Year.” and is signed, “Love, Irving & Mary.” The notecard measures 4 7/8” x 3 1/2” and, with its envelope addressed to the Wilders, is in fine condition. Mr. Wilder is mentioned throughout the text and there is a lovely black & white photo in the book of the Wilders at a restaurant with Swifty and film director Charles Vidor and his wife Doris. Illustrated. A fine copy in a fine bright dust jacket.
